Ingredients
In this adaptation, we have incorporated the flavors and ingredients of Castilian-Leonese cuisine into the traditional Lebanese Sfouf. Instead of using semolina, we have replaced it with ground almonds to enhance the nutty flavor. Additionally, we have sweetened the cake with honey, which is a staple in Castilian-Leonese desserts, instead of using sugar. These modifications give the cake a distinct taste and texture that reflects the culinary traditions of Castilian-Leonese cuisine. We alse have the original recipe for Sfouf, so you can check it out.
