Ingredients

The Chettinad Cherry Preserve differs from the original Serbian Slatko od višanja in terms of flavor profile and spices used. While the original recipe focuses on preserving the natural sweetness of cherries, the Chettinad version adds a spicy and tangy twist by incorporating Chettinad spices such as black pepper, cinnamon, and star anise. This adaptation infuses the preserve with a unique flavor profile that is characteristic of Chettinad cuisine. We alse have the original recipe for Slatko od višanja, so you can check it out.
