1.In a bowl, combine the paprika, saffron threads, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.

2.Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and toss until they are well coated with the spice mixture. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

3.In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and baking powder.

4.Gradually add the sparkling water to the flour mixture, whisking until you have a smooth batter.

5.Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer to 180°C (350°F).

6.Dip each marinated chicken piece into the batter, allowing any excess to drip off, and carefully place it into the hot oil.
