Preparation

1.In a small bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.

2.In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and black pepper.

3.Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the yeast mixture and vegetable oil.

4.Mix the ingredients together until a dough forms.

5.Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

6.Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.

7.Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

8.Punch down the dough to release any air bubbles and shape it into a round loaf.

9.In a small bowl, mix together 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, 1/2 teaspoon of cumin powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of coriander powder to make a paste.
