Preparation

    Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion turns translucent.

    Add the cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder to the pot. Stir well to coat the onions and garlic with the spices.

    Add the diced tomatoes and sliced green chilies to the pot. Cook for a few minutes until the tomatoes soften.

    Pour in 4 cups (950ml) of water and bring the mixture to a boil.
