Ingredients

1.In a small saucepan, bring the water to a gentle boil. Add the saffron threads and let them steep for 5 minutes.

2.Add the white sugar, dried apricots, dried figs, raisins, and slivered almonds to the saucepan. Stir well to combine.

3.Reduce the heat to low and simmer the mixture for 15 minutes, or until the dried fruits have softened.

4.Stir in the coconut milk and vanilla extract. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
