Preparation

1.Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

3.Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over high heat. Sear the beef on all sides until browned. Remove from heat and let it cool.

4.In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté the mushrooms until they release their moisture and become golden brown. Remove from heat and let it cool.

5.Roll out one sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Spread the cooked collard greens evenly over the pastry.

6.Place the seared beef on top of the collard greens. Spread the sautéed mushrooms over the beef.

7.Roll out the second sheet of puff pastry and place it over the beef and mushrooms. Seal the edges and trim any excess pastry.

8.Brush the top of the pastry with beaten egg for a golden finish.
