1.In a bowl, combine the black pepper, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Rub this spice mixture all over the beef ribeye and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

2.Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef ribeye and sear it on both sides until a golden crust forms. Reduce the heat to medium and continue cooking until the desired doneness is reached. Remove the beef from the pan and let it rest for a few minutes.

3.In the same pan, add the mustard seeds and curry leaves. Let them sizzle for a few seconds.

4.Add the thinly sliced onions to the pan and cook until they turn golden brown and caramelized.
