Treat your ingredients with care...
- Ground beef and pork — Make sure to use lean ground meat for a healthier option. If desired, you can also substitute with ground chicken or turkey.
- Dumpling wrappers — Look for round dumpling wrappers in the international section of your local grocery store. If unavailable, you can make your own wrappers using a mixture of all-purpose flour and water.
Tips & Tricks
- To add an extra kick of flavor, serve the Argentinian-style Dim Sum with chimichurri sauce, a traditional Argentinian condiment made with parsley, garlic, vinegar, and olive oil.
- If you prefer a healthier option, you can steam the dumplings instead of frying them. Simply place them in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper and steam for about 10-12 minutes until cooked through.
- Experiment with different fillings by adding ingredients like chopped olives, raisins, or even a touch of spicy chimichurri sauce to the meat mixture.
Serving advice
Serve the Argentinian-style Dim Sum as an appetizer or as part of a larger meal. Arrange them on a platter and garnish with fresh parsley or a sprinkle of paprika for an extra pop of color.
Presentation advice
For an elegant presentation, serve the Argentinian-style Dim Sum on individual small plates or in bamboo steamers. Arrange them in a circular pattern and drizzle chimichurri sauce over the top for a beautiful and flavorful finishing touch.
