Ingredients
In the original Iranian Khoresht Mast, the stew is typically made with ingredients like saffron, dried limes, and Persian spices. However, in this Pomeranian adaptation, we have incorporated local flavors and ingredients to create a unique twist. The Pomeranian-style Yogurt Stew uses traditional Pomeranian spices and replaces saffron with other aromatic spices like cumin, turmeric, and cinnamon. Additionally, the choice of meat may differ, with beef or lamb being commonly used in Pomeranian cuisine. We alse have the original recipe for Khoresht mast, so you can check it out.

- Yogurt — Use plain yogurt with a creamy consistency for a smooth and velvety sauce.
Tips & Tricks
- To enhance the flavors, marinate the meat in the yogurt and spices for a few hours or overnight before cooking.
- Adjust the spices according to your taste preferences. Add more cumin for a stronger earthy flavor or increase the cinnamon for a hint of sweetness.
- For a thicker sauce, whisk in a tablespoon of flour or cornstarch mixed with water towards the end of cooking.
