Preparation

  1. 1.

Cook the lasagne sheets according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  4. 4.
Stir in the coconut milk, Caribbean-style hot sauce, and jerk seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  5. 5.

Treat your ingredients with care...

  • Lasagne sheets — Cook the lasagne sheets until al dente to ensure they hold their shape and texture in the final dish.
  • Caribbean-style hot sauce — Adjust the amount of hot sauce according to your spice preference. Add more for extra heat or reduce for a milder flavor.
  • Jerk seasoning — If you prefer a homemade jerk seasoning, you can make it by combining spices like allspice, thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and black pepper.

Tips & Tricks

  • For an extra tropical touch, add diced mango or papaya along with the pineapple chunks.
  • If you prefer a vegetarian version, substitute the ground beef with plant-based ground meat or a medley of sautéed vegetables.
  • Serve the lasagne with a side of fresh mixed greens dressed with a citrus vinaigrette to balance the flavors.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated the next day for an equally delicious meal.
  • Feel free to experiment with different Caribbean spices and flavors to customize the dish to your liking.
