Ingredients
In this Bhutanese adaptation, we infuse the traditional Lorne Sausage with the unique flavors of Bhutanese cuisine. We incorporate local Bhutanese spices such as red chili powder, cumin, and coriander to add a touch of heat and earthiness. Additionally, we replace some of the original ingredients with Bhutanese alternatives, such as using Bhutanese red rice flour instead of regular flour for binding. Preparation

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, red chili powder, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

2.Gradually add the Bhutanese red rice flour to the mixture, a little at a time, until the mixture becomes firm enough to shape into patties.

3.Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into round patties, approximately 1/2 inch thick.

4.Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the sausage patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and golden brown.

5.Once cooked, remove the patties from the pan and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any excess oil.

6.Serve the Bhutanese-inspired spiced sausage patties hot with your choice of accompaniments.
