Ingredients
In this Bhutanese-inspired version of naan, we use whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour to add a nutty flavor and a healthier twist. Preparation

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, baking powder, salt, cumin, coriander, turmeric powder, and chili powder.

2.Add the yogurt, warm water, and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients. Mix well until a soft dough forms.

3.Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

4.Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rest for 1 hour.

5.After the resting period, divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a circle of about 1/4 inch thickness.

6.Heat a griddle or a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Place the rolled naan on the hot griddle and cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown spots appear.

7.Remove the naan from the griddle and brush it with butter or ghee while it's still warm.

8.Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls.
