Preparation

1.Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F).

2.Separate the egg whites from the yolks and place the whites in a clean, dry mixing bowl.

3.Using an electric mixer, beat the egg whites on medium speed until soft peaks form.

4.Gradually add the granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time, while continuing to beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.

5.Gently fold in the vinegar and cornstarch until well combined.

6.Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spoon the meringue mixture onto it, shaping it into a round disc.

7.Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until the pavlova is crisp on the outside and slightly soft on the inside.

9.In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.

10.Place the cooled pavlova on a serving plate and top it with the whipped cream.
