Ingredients
In the original South African Skilpadjies, the meat used is typically lamb liver wrapped in caul fat. However, in this Brazilian adaptation, we use thin slices of beef or lamb to wrap the filling. The filling itself is also modified to include traditional Brazilian ingredients such as garlic, onion, chili peppers, and cilantro, which add a distinct Brazilian flavor profile to the dish.
