1.In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and jalapeno pepper. Sauté until the onion is translucent and the peppers are softened.

3.Stir in the ground cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to allow the spices to release their flavors.

4.Add the black beans and corn to the skillet. Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is heated through.
