Ingredients

While the original Italian Tiramisù is made with ladyfingers soaked in coffee and layered with mascarpone cream, this Turkish adaptation incorporates elements of Turkish cuisine. The ladyfingers are soaked in strong Turkish coffee infused with cardamom, and the mascarpone cream is flavored with rosewater and garnished with crushed pistachios for a touch of Turkish flair. Treat your ingredients with care...

  • Turkish coffee — Use finely ground Turkish coffee for a strong and authentic flavor.
  • Rosewater — Adjust the amount of rosewater according to your preference for a subtle or stronger floral taste.
  • Ladyfingers — Ensure the ladyfingers are dipped quickly into the coffee mixture to prevent them from becoming too soggy.

Tips & Tricks

  • For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of Turkish coffee liqueur to the mascarpone cream.
  • If you prefer a less sweet dessert, reduce the amount of sugar in the mascarpone cream.
  • Garnish the tiramisù with edible rose petals for an extra touch of elegance.
  • Serve the Turkish Tiramisù chilled for the best taste and texture.
  • Experiment with different types of nuts for the garnish, such as crushed almonds or walnuts.

Serving advice

Serve the Turkish Tiramisù in individual dessert glasses or in a decorative serving dish. Dust each portion with cocoa powder just before serving for an enticing presentation. Accompany the dessert with a cup of Turkish tea or coffee to enhance the Turkish culinary experience.

Presentation advice

To elevate the presentation, you can pipe some additional mascarpone cream on top of the dessert and garnish it with a sprinkle of cocoa powder and a whole coffee bean. Place a small Turkish flag or a decorative toothpick with a mini Turkish flag on each serving for a festive touch.
