Ingredients
In this adaptation, we have taken the concept of Korean Anju and transformed it into a dish that reflects the flavors and ingredients of Abruzzese and Molisan cuisine. While the original Anju is typically served as a side dish with alcoholic beverages, our version incorporates the traditional meatball concept from Abruzzese and Molisan cuisine. We have also adjusted the spices and flavors to align with the target cuisine, resulting in a unique fusion dish that combines the best of both worlds. We alse have the original recipe for Anju, so you can check it out.

-
7.Season with salt and pepper to taste.
-
8.Serve the spicy meatballs with tomato sauce garnished with fresh basil leaves.
Treat your ingredients with care...
- Ground beef — Choose lean ground beef for a healthier option. If you prefer a richer flavor, you can use a combination of ground beef and ground pork.
- Crushed tomatoes — Opt for high-quality canned crushed tomatoes or use fresh tomatoes that have been peeled and crushed.
Tips & Tricks
- For a spicier kick, increase the amount of chili flakes or add a dash of hot sauce to the tomato sauce.
- Serve the meatballs with crusty bread or pasta for a heartier meal.
- If you prefer a smoother tomato sauce, use an immersion blender to puree the sauce before adding the meatballs.
