Preparation

1.Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

2.In a large bowl, combine the ground pork or beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, ground allspice, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

3.Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle of about 30x40cm (12x16 inches).

4.Cut the pastry into smaller rectangles, approximately 10x15cm (4x6 inches) each.

5.Place a portion of the seasoned meat mixture onto one end of each pastry rectangle, leaving a small border around the edges.

6.Roll up the pastry tightly, enclosing the meat filling, and seal the edges by pressing them together.

7.Place the sausage rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

8.Brush the tops of the rolls with the beaten egg wash.

9.Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the meat is cooked through.
