Ingredients
While the original Korean Bulgogi is traditionally made with thinly sliced beef, Bosnian Bulgogi incorporates a few adaptations to suit the Bosnian cuisine. We have added a touch of local spices and herbs to enhance the flavor profile, and the beef is marinated for a longer period to infuse it with the Bosnian essence. Additionally, we have adjusted the cooking technique to incorporate elements of Bosnian grilling traditions. We alse have the original recipe for Bulgogi, so you can check it out.

Treat your ingredients with care...
- Beef — For the best results, choose a tender cut of beef like sirloin and slice it thinly against the grain to ensure tenderness.
- Paprika — Opt for a high-quality sweet paprika to add a rich and smoky flavor to the dish.
- Red wine vinegar — If you don't have red wine vinegar, you can substitute it with apple cider vinegar or white wine vinegar.
- Soy sauce — Use low-sodium soy sauce if you prefer to reduce the overall sodium content of the dish.
- Fresh parsley — Finely chop the parsley just before garnishing to preserve its vibrant color and fresh taste.
Tips & Tricks
- For a smokier flavor, you can add a small amount of liquid smoke to the marinade.
- If you prefer a spicier Bulgogi, increase the amount of cayenne pepper or add a few dashes of hot sauce to the marinade.
- Serve Bosnian Bulgogi with traditional Bosnian bread, such as somun or lepinja, to soak up the delicious juices.
- To make it a complete meal, serve Bosnian Bulgogi with a side of Bosnian rice pilaf and a fresh salad.
- Leftover Bosnian Bulgogi can be used as a filling for sandwiches or wraps the next day.
