Ingredients
In this American adaptation of Dango-jiru, we have incorporated American culinary influences to create a unique fusion dish. While the original Japanese Dango-jiru uses traditional Japanese ingredients and flavors, our recipe incorporates American ingredients and spices to cater to the American palate. The soup base is made with chicken broth instead of dashi, and the dumplings are flavored with a blend of American herbs and spices. 1.In a mixing bowl, combine the rice flour, all-purpose flour, water, chopped vegetables, salt, and black pepper. Mix until a smooth dough forms.

3.In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil. Add the diced chicken breast, carrots, celery, onions, minced garlic, dried thyme, and dried parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4.Gently drop the dumplings into the boiling soup. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the dumplings are cooked through and tender.
