Preparation

1.In a mixing bowl, combine the masa harina, warm water, salt, chili powder, and cumin. Mix until a smooth dough forms.

2.In a separate pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion, bell pepper, and tomato. Sauté until the vegetables are softened.

3.Add the cooked chorizo to the pan and stir to combine with the vegetables. Remove from heat and set aside.

4.Take a small portion of the masa dough and flatten it in the palm of your hand. Place a spoonful of the chorizo and vegetable mixture in the center of the dough.

5.Fold the edges of the dough over the filling, sealing it to form a small dumpling. Repeat with the remaining dough and filling.

6.Prepare a steamer by filling a pot with water and placing a steamer basket inside. Bring the water to a boil.
