The original dish typically includes ingredients like garlic, onions, tomatoes, and a blend of Lebanese spices. However, in the Banjar version, we have replaced some of these ingredients with Banjar spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, cumin, and coriander. This adaptation adds a distinct Banjar flavor profile to the dish, making it a delightful fusion of Lebanese and Banjar cuisines. 1.Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.

4.Stir in the diced tomatoes, ground cinnamon, ground cardamom, ground cloves, ground cumin, and ground coriander. Cook for a few minutes until the spices are fragrant.

5.Pour in the lamb or vegetable broth and season with salt and pepper to taste.

6.Bring the stew to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the lamb is tender and the flavors have melded together.
