Ingredients
In this Malawian adaptation of Kaspressknödel, we incorporate Malawian spices and flavors to create a unique twist. The original Austrian recipe is modified by adding local Malawian herbs and spices, such as piri piri and nsima powder, to infuse the dumplings with a distinct Malawian taste. Additionally, the traditional accompaniment of sauerkraut is replaced with a tangy tomato relish to complement the flavors of Malawian cuisine.
