Preparation

  1. 1.
Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil and add the rice. Cook until the rice is tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain any excess water and set aside.
  2. 2.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until they become translucent.
  3. 3.
Add the diced bell peppers and carrots to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes, or until they start to soften.
  4. 4.
Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the sliced smoked sausage. Cook until the sausage is lightly browned.
  5. 5.
Sprinkle the Silesian spice blend over the vegetables and sausage, and stir to coat everything evenly.
  6. 6.
Add the cooked rice to the skillet and mix well, ensuring that the rice is coated with the spices.
  7. 7.
Stir in the soy sauce and tomato paste, and season with salt to taste. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. 8.
Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro.
  9. 9.
    Serve hot and enjoy!

Treat your ingredients with care...

  • Smoked sausage — If you prefer a milder flavor, you can use a less smoky variety of sausage. Additionally, you can experiment with different types of sausage, such as kielbasa or bratwurst, to add your own twist to the dish.

Tips & Tricks

  • For an extra kick of heat, add a few dashes of hot sauce or chili flakes to the dish.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables of your choice, such as peas or corn, to enhance the nutritional value and add more color to the dish.
