Ingredients

In the original Croatian recipe, the preserve is made with wild figs, sugar, and lemon juice. However, in this St. Kitts and Nevis adaptation, we incorporate local Caribbean flavors by adding a splash of rum and a touch of cinnamon. These additions enhance the tropical essence of the preserve and give it a distinct Caribbean flair. We alse have the original recipe for Slatko od divi smokvi, so you can check it out.
