Preparation

1.In a large saucepan, combine the chopped figs, sugar, and lemon juice.

2.Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally.

3.Reduce the heat to low and simmer the mixture for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the jam thickens and reaches the desired consistency.
