Ingredients
In this Egyptian adaptation of Taiyaki, we incorporate flavors and ingredients commonly found in Egyptian cuisine. The traditional Japanese pancake batter is infused with aromatic spices such as cinnamon and cardamom, giving it a distinct Egyptian touch. The filling is replaced with a generous amount of Nutella, a popular chocolate-hazelnut spread loved by Egyptians. The fish-shaped pancakes are reminiscent of the original Taiyaki, but the flavor profile and ingredients make it a uniquely Egyptian treat. We alse have the original recipe for Taiyaki, so you can check it out.
