Ingredients
In this Slovenian adaptation of the Bicky Burger, we use a blend of Slovenian beef and pork for the patty, instead of the traditional Belgian beef. The addition of local herbs and spices gives the burger a distinct Slovenian flavor. The use of Slovenian cheese and ajvar sauce further enhances the taste, while the kranjska klobasa bun adds a unique Slovenian touch to the overall presentation. Treat your ingredients with care...
- Slovenian paprika — Use a high-quality Slovenian paprika for the best flavor. If unavailable, you can substitute with Hungarian paprika.
- Ajvar sauce — If you prefer a spicier sauce, add a pinch of chili flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the ajvar.
Tips & Tricks
- For an extra burst of flavor, marinate the burger patties in a mixture of Slovenian red wine and garlic for a few hours before cooking.
- Experiment with different types of Slovenian cheese, such as Tolminc or Mohant, to add a unique twist to your burger.
- If you can't find kranjska klobasa buns, you can substitute with any other soft burger buns.
