Ingredients
In this Tianjin-style adaptation, we replace the traditional Spanish ingredients with Tianjin cabbage, Tianjin chili, and Sichuan peppercorns to infuse the sandwich with the distinct flavors of Tianjin cuisine. The original Bocadillo de pisto typically uses Spanish peppers and spices, but we have modified it to incorporate the vibrant and spicy elements of Tianjin cuisine. 2.Add the Tianjin cabbage, carrots, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper to the pan. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

3.Sprinkle crushed Sichuan peppercorns, Tianjin chili flakes, and salt over the vegetables. Stir well to combine.

4.In a separate bowl, prepare the Tianjin-style sauce by mixing together the following ingredients: 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, and 1 teaspoon minced garlic.

5.Slice the baguettes horizontally and spread a generous amount of the Tianjin-style sauce on both sides.
