Preparation

1.In a mixing bowl, combine Nutella, crushed hazelnuts, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.
-
2.Shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
-
3.Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and let the truffles chill for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
-
4.In a separate bowl, melt the dark chocolate in the microwave or over a double boiler. Stir in the extra virgin olive oil to create a smooth and glossy chocolate coating.
-
5.Using a fork or a toothpick, dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off.
-
6.Return the coated truffles to the baking sheet and let them set in the refrigerator for another 30 minutes.
-
7.Once the chocolate coating has hardened, transfer the truffles to an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
