Treat your ingredients with care...
- Ground beef and lamb — Use lean cuts of meat for a healthier option.
- Red wine — Choose a dry red wine to add depth of flavor to the meat mixture.
- Dijon mustard — Opt for a high-quality Dijon mustard to complement the flavors of the Ćevapi.
Tips & Tricks
- For a smoky flavor, you can grill the skewers over charcoal instead of a gas grill.
- Serve the Ćevapi with a side of French fries or a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
- If you prefer a milder taste, reduce the amount of garlic in the meat mixture.
- Make sure to soak the wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent them from burning.
- If you don't have access to a grill, you can also cook the skewers in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for about 15-20 minutes.
Serving advice
Serve the Ćevapi à la française hot off the grill, accompanied by a generous dollop of Dijon mustard and slices of fresh baguette. The combination of the juicy meat skewers, tangy mustard, and crusty bread creates a delightful flavor experience.
Presentation advice
