Treat your ingredients with care...
- Beef, pork, and chicken — Ensure that the meat is cut into evenly sized cubes to ensure even cooking. Marinating the meat overnight will enhance the flavors and tenderness.
- Bell peppers, onions, and tomatoes — Cut the vegetables into chunks or wedges that are similar in size to the meat cubes to ensure even cooking. Soaking the wooden skewers in water prevents them from burning on the grill.
Tips & Tricks
- For added flavor, brush the skewers with the marinade while grilling.
- Experiment with different combinations of meats and vegetables to suit your taste preferences.
- If using wooden skewers, make sure to soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent them from burning on the grill.
- Serve the skewers with a side of tzatziki sauce or ajvar for a traditional Balkan touch.
- If you prefer a spicier version, add a pinch of chili flakes to the marinade.
Serving advice
