Treat your ingredients with care...
- Peaches — Choose ripe and fragrant peaches for the best flavor. If peaches are not in season, you can use canned peaches in natural juice as a substitute.
- Bermudian rum — Opt for a high-quality Bermudian rum to enhance the tropical flavors of the dish. If unavailable, you can use a light rum as a substitute.
Tips & Tricks
- For an extra burst of flavor, add a splash of fresh lime juice to the syrup.
- Serve the peaches with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a decadent treat.
- If you prefer a stronger rum flavor, you can soak the peaches in rum overnight before poaching them.
