Ingredients
In this Maritime adaptation of Teba shichimi, we incorporate the flavors and ingredients commonly found in the Maritime cuisine. The original Japanese dish is known for its use of soy sauce, ginger, and garlic, which we retain in this recipe. However, we add a Maritime twist by incorporating maple syrup, a staple ingredient in the region, to enhance the sweetness. Additionally, we introduce shichimi togarashi, a Japanese spice blend, to infuse the wings with a fiery kick that adds a unique flavor profile to the dish. We alse have the original recipe for Teba shichimi, so you can check it out.

Treat your ingredients with care...
- Soy Sauce — Opt for low-sodium soy sauce if you prefer to control the saltiness of the dish.
- Maple Syrup — Use pure maple syrup for the best flavor. Adjust the amount according to your desired level of sweetness.
- Shichimi Togarashi — Adjust the amount of shichimi togarashi based on your spice tolerance. Add more for extra heat or reduce for a milder flavor.
Tips & Tricks
- For extra crispy wings, you can broil them for a few minutes after grilling.
- Serve with a side of blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping.
- If you don't have a grill, you can also bake the wings in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
