Preparation

1.Wash the figs and remove the stems. Cut a small cross on the bottom of each fig.

2.In a saucepan, combine the Baden wine, honey, cinnamon stick, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.

3.Add the figs to the simmering syrup and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the figs are tender and the syrup has thickened slightly.

4.Remove the saucepan from heat and let the figs cool slightly in the syrup.

5.Serve the figs warm, drizzled with the syrup. Optionally, garnish with a sprinkle of lemon zest or a dollop of whipped cream.
