Ingredients
While the original Greek Koufeto uses grape must and spices like cinnamon and cloves, the Canarian adaptation of this dish replaces grape must with local honey, which adds a distinct sweetness. Additionally, Canarian Honey Almond Delight does not include the spices used in the Greek version, allowing the natural flavors of the honey and almonds to shine through. 1.In a large skillet, toast the almonds over medium heat until they turn golden brown and become fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.

2.In the same skillet, heat the Canarian honey over low heat until it becomes warm and runny.

3.Add the toasted almonds to the honey and stir well to coat them evenly.

4.Simmer the mixture over low heat for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the honey thickens and forms a sticky glaze around the almonds.

5.Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
