Ingredients
While the original Japanese ramen is known for its delicate and umami-rich broth, Bosnian-Style Ramen takes a heartier approach. We incorporate Bosnian flavors by using a robust beef broth as the base, which adds depth and richness to the dish. Additionally, we substitute some of the traditional ramen toppings with Bosnian ingredients to create a fusion of flavors. We alse have the original recipe for Ramen, so you can check it out.

- Ramen noodles — Cook the noodles according to the package instructions, but make sure to slightly undercook them as they will continue to cook in the hot broth.
- Beef — For tender beef slices, choose a tender cut like sirloin or ribeye and slice it thinly against the grain.
- Red bell pepper — To add a smoky flavor, you can roast the red bell pepper before slicing it.
Tips & Tricks
- For an extra kick of flavor, add a dash of Bosnian chili powder or hot sauce to the broth.
- Customize your toppings by adding Bosnian pickles, sautéed mushrooms, or a dollop of sour cream.
- If you prefer a spicier ramen, sprinkle some crushed red pepper flakes on top before serving.
- To make the dish more filling, add cooked Bosnian-style meatballs or sliced sausage to the broth.
