Ingredients

The Croatian Cheesesteak differs from the original American version in a few ways. Instead of using traditional American cheese, this recipe calls for a blend of Croatian cheeses, including Pag cheese and Istrian cheese. Additionally, the sandwich is served on a crusty roll that is popular in Croatia, rather than a soft hoagie roll. Finally, the sandwich is topped with a variety of vegetables, including roasted red peppers and arugula, which add a fresh and flavorful twist to the classic dish. • If you like your cheesesteak spicy, add some sliced jalapenos or hot sauce to the sandwich.
