Ingredients

We also use a different type of cheese, and serve it on a traditional Bosnian bread called somun, which adds a distinct texture and taste to the dish. Treat your ingredients with care...
- Beef — For the best results, choose a tender cut of beef like sirloin and slice it thinly against the grain to ensure tenderness.
- Bosnian cheese — If you can't find Bosnian cheese, you can substitute it with feta or sirene cheese, which have a similar taste and texture.
Tips & Tricks
- To add an extra layer of flavor, you can marinate the beef in a mixture of olive oil, garlic, and Bosnian spices for 1-2 hours before cooking.
- If you prefer a spicier kick, you can add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to the spice mixture.
- For a vegetarian version, you can substitute the beef with grilled portobello mushrooms or tofu.
Serving advice
