Treat your ingredients with care...
- Chorizo — For a milder flavor, you can use sweet Spanish chorizo instead of the spicy variety.
- Manchego cheese — Opt for aged Manchego cheese for a stronger and nuttier taste.
- Piquillo peppers — If piquillo peppers are not available, you can substitute them with roasted red bell peppers.
Tips & Tricks
- For a crispier crust, preheat your baking sheet or pizza stone in the oven before placing the rolled-out dough on it.
- Experiment with different Spanish cheeses like Idiazabal or Tetilla for a unique flavor profile.
- Add a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and a sprinkle of smoked paprika over the pizza before serving for an extra Spanish touch.
- Serve the pizza with a side of aioli or romesco sauce for dipping.
- If you prefer a spicier kick, sprinkle some crushed red pepper flakes over the pizza before baking.
